Lincoln Center to Present Wendy Wasserstein's Third Off-Broadway

Lincoln Center Theater favorite Wendy Wasserstein will return to the company this fall with Third. The play will be presented at the Mitzi E. Newhouse space, according to a production spokesperson.

Third centers on a college literary professor who accuses a campus jock of plagiarizing when he turns in a worthwhile analysis of King Lear. The play was presented as part of an evening of two one-acts the other play is Welcome to My Rash at the Theater J in Washington, D.C. last year.

Daniel Sullivan, currently represented on Broadway by Julius Caesar, will direct the LCT staging of Third.

LCT is still in the midst of its 2004-2005 season. Dessa Rose now occupies the Newhouse while A Light in the Piazza is housed at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, the non-profit's Broadway home.
